Firefighter/Paramedics See Funny Things
I have seen things from a comedian at heart's point of view. Sitting a Fire/EMS Dispatch center in America can have it's funny moments.
One lady calls into report a house fireon her Street. As the dispatcher answers the phone, stating ____________ 911 what's the nature of your emergency? The obviously elderly says, I'm calling bcause there is a hoise on fire on my Street.
As we know everything is recorded, I say "what street are you on Mam?" Obviously not hearing me correctly, she says "I said, there is a fira on my street!" Yes Mam, Can you spell your street name?"
The lady says "S T Ra Ea Ea T"
Luckily, another dispatcher gets the correct street address, so I'm happy to advise this poor old lady, "Thank you Mam for calling __________ Fire/EMS Department," hanging up as everybody in the Dispatch center try not to laugh......
Yes, I've heard so many "interesting calls" among other things :)
Next call; Man in the payphone booth.....
