About
The Act: Philomedy
Style: Dark Satire | Existential Deconstruction | Counter-Culture Commentary
The Concept
This isn't traditional stand-up; it is "Philomedy." It’s a high-octane collision of street-level grit and high-concept philosophy. Eschewing the "support group" atmosphere of modern comedy, the set uses a "brutalist" comedic style to deconstruct the absurdity of the human condition, from the heights of biblical myth to the depths of digital-age hypocrisy.
The Material
The performance is a visceral journey through the eyes of a cynical truth-seeker. It navigates a landscape of "Orwellian" social traps, "optic-driven" culture, and the raw biological realities of life in 2026. moves seamlessly between:
The Deconstruction of Myth: Reinterpreting historical and religious narratives like the "Grand Gaslight" of Nazareththrough a modern, cynical lens.
The "Stoned Philosopher" Perspective: Using experiences with ego-death and psychedelics to question the nature of reality and the "cosmic traps" of reincarnation and existence.
Hard-Hitting Social Realism: Unfiltered commentary on dysfunctional relationships, "PC" culture, and the tribalism of modern society.
The Philosophy
The act operates on the principle that humor is a mirror, not a hug. By leaning into "hostile absurdity," the goal is to "immunize" the audience against the fragility of the modern world. It doesn't just tell jokes; it offers a dark, nihilistic, yet strangely liberating perspective on why we’re all here and why we should stop taking the "cage" so seriously.
This is a high-tension, provocative experience. It is designed for audiences who prefer their comedy with a jagged edge and their philosophy served without a filter. This is the voice for the "exhausted observer"—the person who sees the "glitch in the prayer department" and decides to laugh at it.
"Life is a short trip and a cosmic accident. I’m just here to point out the skid marks."
