Anthony Theophanous, better known on stage as Fat Theo, is a stand-up comedian, compère, writer, and speaker from Worcestershire. Since stepping onto the comedy circuit in 2017, he has built a reputation as one of the Midlands' most engaging and reliable MCs, combining quick wit, crowd work, and natural warmth to create an atmosphere that audiences instantly connect with.
Away from the stage, Anthony's story is remarkable. In 2016, he survived a life-threatening brain haemorrhage that left him fighting to walk, talk, and rebuild his life. Rather than letting the experience define him, he turned it into fuel for his comedy, bringing honesty, resilience, and a unique perspective to everything he does.
As a comedian, Fat Theo blends sharp observational humour, self-deprecation, and relatable stories about family life, modern Britain, and the absurdities of everyday existence. His material is delivered with the charm of someone who genuinely loves making people laugh and connecting with an audience.
Anthony has written and performed two critically acclaimed solo shows, The Journeyman and The Contender, both receiving praise for their humour, authenticity, and storytelling. While he predominantly works as a host and compère, where his ability to control a room and elevate an event has made him a sought-after MC, he is also available for stand-up sets, corporate events, charity fundraisers, private functions, and comedy clubs.
Whether he's warming up a room, steering a packed comedy night, or delivering a full stand-up performance, Fat Theo brings professionalism, personality, and plenty of laughs to every event.
"A natural storyteller with an infectious stage presence and a remarkable life story to tell."
