Daniel Edison is a stand-up comedian from the South Coast of England. Daniel took an interest in comedy in his teenage years and began writing jokes at the age of 15. His style is a mixture of puns and one-liners.

At age 16, Daniel began performing short spots in comedy clubs around the UK. His first ever performance was in front of a crowd of over 200, as he was invited on-stage for an impromptu performance in the middle of a show by comedian Tim Vine. With no actual act or routine yet, Daniel managed to remember some jokes he had written and the audience roared with laughter. Newspaper ‘The Worthing Herald’ wrote a full-page article on Daniel and this experience.

Shortly after this, Daniel was invited to the very club he performed with Tim Vine at, for his first proper stand-up spot, supporting comedian Andy Kind.

From then on, Daniel never looked back, and quickly found himself in clubs and theatres, on bills with acts such as Simon Evans, Romesh Ranganathan, Paul Tonkinson and Stewart Lee, to name a few.

In 2016, Daniel reached the qualifying rounds of the BBC New Comedy Awards, which led to him performing at the Comedy Store in Manchester. His set was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

Daniel has performed at some of the best comedy clubs in the UK. Notable shows include supporting Tanyalee Davis at 'Byline Festival' and performing at The Hilton at The Ageas Bowl, at an event for 'Business Beats Cancer', headlined by Simon Brodkin. Both these events were in 2019.

Daniel's approach makes audiences warm to him from the moment he walks out on stage and of course, he leaves their sides aching.

With one-liners and clever wordplay in abundance, he is one of the best and most prolific joke writers out there. Some are silly, some are surreal and some are just downright clever.
