Stand-Up/Improviser/Host in LA
Born in California but raised in Nevada, Tara is less trashy than you'd think, but not as classy as you'd like. She is a regular emcee at the Comedy Chateau, was chosen to compete in the 2026 SLO Comedy festival, a semi-finalist in Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest, has performed at the Burbank Comedy Fest, San Diego Comedy Contest, the Palm Springs Comedy Fest, the Vacaville Comedy Cash Cow, and venues all over LA. Having been an improviser for the last 20 years, she was on improv/sketch house teams at iO West, Second City, and has trained at USC, the Groundlings, and UCB. Her humor book, Tips For Your Last Year On Earth, was published by Vulpine Press. She’s a former headline writer for The Onion, has been published in Slackjaw, The Bold Italic, Insider, Jane Austen’s Wastebasket, and Greener Pastures. She’s placed in multiple screenwriting competitions including a quarterfinalist in the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship.
