I've only recently got back into stand up as I have been doing sketch comedy for the last few years, with "Philippa & Rosie". But before that I had a good couple of years of open mic experience (around 70 gigs)
I'm really enjoying bringing out my slightly wonky stand up out of retirement. And I would describe my material as an enthusiastic critique of pop culture. And failing that it's usually just silly.
