My stand-up comedy covers a mix of political and personal history.
I have 800+ gigs experience including 120(ish) performances of my three solo hours, Harun With A View (2016/7), Dark Side of Harun (2018/9) and Why I Don't Talk To People About Terrorism (2020-2023) at the Edinburgh Fringe (all full runs) and previews at other Fringe and comedy festivals, including sell-out shows in Durham, Nottingham, Faversham and Ludlow. I also co-hosted another full run Edinburgh Fringe show, A Political Breakfast in 2022-23.
Before moving, I performed regularly at Comedy Market, Mirth Control Comedy Clubs, the Stand-up Comedy Club, Out of Bounds, Hampstead Comedy Club and others, usually as paid middles and some opening spots. I also MC regularly, at paid gigs, my own semi-pro night, and at other promoters' open mic and new material nights.
My shows have had the the following reviews:
- "A great comedian. I would highly recommend it" ★★★★ (Views from the Gods)
- "Excellent Show. Sharp and witty comedy from a rising star" (Fringe Review)
- "When so many newer comics are Stewart Lee wannabes, at least this bears comparison to the original." (Chortle)
- "Smart … his use of irony and repetition has previously drawn comparison with Stewart Lee. And that's on full display†(The Scotsman)
- "A likeable and funny comic" (The Reviews Hub)
- "If you get a chance to see this and miss it then you are a fool!" ★★★★★ (Radio Faversham).
-
A Political Breakfast also got these reviews:
- "Recommended Show. With O'Neill*and Musho'd at the centre it has a heart and core of comedy that makes it a very good way to start your day." (Fringe Review)
- "A Political Breakfast is a great way to start the day if you are even mildly into politics." (The Scotsman)
- “A show worth returning to†(The Edinburgh Reporter)
- “Thrilling†(The Wee Review)
