Having fronted a local metal band for a couple of years, he eventually left that band after coming to the realization that he was far too chubby and black to become a heavy metal god.

Being a long time fan of stand-up comedy, Charles spent years doing comic bits in his head. Unlike the other things that go on in his head, these could be shared with people in public. In September of 2012 he made his comedy debut in a contest called "Clash of the Comics" at the Richmond Funny Bone, and hasn't looked back. He has since become a 3 time winner of the Clash of the comics, and is now a regular at the Richmond Funny Bone. During his short time as a comedian Charles has already worked with the names such as Bert Kreischer, Lisa Landry, Chris Porter, Brad Williams, and "Last Comic Standing" finalist Dominique. He has performed all over the East coast, and even internationally as part of the "Takeover Comedy Show" in Puerto Morelos, MX in 2015.
