Question 2

How much do comedians get paid in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

Open mic and new-act slots are usually unpaid or offer travel expenses. Paid new-act spots range £20-£50, established club acts £100-£300 a set, and headliners or corporate work commands £500-£2,000+. The fee is set by the promoter and agreed direct with the comedian.

Question 3

Where can I find open mic nights in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

Filter the listings by "Open Mic" to see every walk-up and new-act night in Switzerland. Most are free entry or pay-on-the-door with 3-5 minute slots for newcomers - the standard way to start performing stand-up.

Question 4

How do I book tickets to a comedy show?

Accepted Answer

Click any event for venue details, the lineup, and a link to the ticket page. Open Comedy doesn't sell tickets directly - you buy through the venue or promoter so they keep the full ticket price. A few shows are free or pay-on-the-door, noted on the event page.

How do comedians get gigs in Switzerland?

Create a free Open Comedy profile, upload a couple of video clips so promoters can see your style, then click "Apply" on any open spot. Promoters reply direct - no agents, no commission. Most active promoters respond within a few days.

Question 6

How do I list my comedy night?

Accepted Answer

List a gig in under a minute - add the venue, date, the spots you have open, and your contact details. Comedians apply through the platform and you pick the lineup. Listing is free and we don't take a cut of ticket sales.
