Outré Cinemabaret: A cult film night with a difference and that difference is live cabaret! ------------------------------------------------------------------- ACT I: CABARET OF THE DAMNED A live spooktacular Halloween-style cabaret show, featuring creepy comedy, malevolent music, scintillating burlesque and an unsettling collection of horrifying short films. Hosted by The Ghastly Gabriel Featherstone and Ki "Satan Is Wonderful" Murphy. ACT II: BRAINDEAD (Peter Jackson, 1992) Before he dazzled the world with his famously awful Lord of The Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson was kind enough to give us this high-octane masterpiece of disgraceful zombie-related carnage. Whilst spying on her nervous son at her local zoo, Vera Cosgrove is mildly nibbled by a disgusting Sumatran Rat-Monkey. Then she turns into a zombie and lots of mad horrible stuff starts to happen. Braindead is worth watching because it features a priest that can do kung-fu, a zombie with a garden gnome where his head should be, a puddle of intestines that yearns to be beautiful and an incredible finale involving a giant rotting vagina that eats people. BRAINDEAD! It's funny, frenetic and totally unsuitable for people who don't enjoy watching a bunch of zombies who are mean to each other and love to eat scrambled eggs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't be a boring fool! Come and experience this exquisite Halloween treat! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Doors open at 8.30pm. Show starts at 9pm. There will be a short interval between the cabaret and the film. Admittance is £5/£3 concession. TOTALLY UNSUITABLE FOR THE UNDER 18s
