Famous First Words - Open Mics

Famous First Words is an open mic with a passion for variety. Ever watched Live at the Apollo and thought "I could do that, easy"? Got a poem you just have to get off your chest? Think you're the next Justin Bieber? (he's down with the kids, right?) Acts of all kind are welcome to a 5 minute / 3 song set. (More established acts may be given longer at our discretion). Running every Monday night at The Gunners in Finsbury Park, each show is hosted by a Dylan Dodds (https://twitter.com/torntoribbons) or another fine MC. Pre-book your slot by messaging the Facebook page. Alternatively, walk up on the night if you're feeling frisky. Techy Stuff: A guitar lead plugged into the PA will be ready and waiting for you along with two microphones. If you need more than this please mention this when you book. The venue has a full backline for bands (including drum breakables) with soundcheck at 7pm. Show is 8 - 10ish
