Compare "“ Lee Kyle
Lee Kyle is one of the most inventive yet adaptable acts in the UK, known for his ability to adapt to any audience, he's one of the top comedians for kids in the UK but it's his longer, story driven adult shows that really stand out.
Able to seamlessly weave quirky stand up into stories that resonate with any audience, Lee is a top notch ad-libber, able to think on his feet with and impressive creativity that has made him a much in demand compere throughout the UK and beyond.
A former champion wrestler, his book Spandex Ballet was a hit in 2016, he is also a podcast host and was one of the principle writers and stars of Cinderella and the Beanstalk, The Stand Comedy Clubs smash hit alternative panto.
Opener "“ Anjia Atkinson
One of the fastest rising North East comedy talents, Anja Atkinson heads to Blue Moose Comedy Lounge for a set that's sure to open the show with a bang! Devilishly witty and full of unrelentingly hilarious anecdotes, Anja is an act you can't afford to miss!
Middle "“ Connor Read
With a repertoire of Queer storytelling, sharp one liners and a warm persona, Connor Read is instantly likeable. Read effortlessly tussles with the inner conflict of being a Queer 'old soul' navigating the complexities of the modern world.
Closer "“ Anth Young
Anth performs to huge audiences in theatres around the country as tour support to Carl Hutchinson. A regular at comedy clubs around the UK, Anth's career has really blossomed since finishing as runner-up in the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year competition in 2017 "“ a year which also saw him placing highly in the hugely competitive English Comedian of the Year competition, and being a finalist in the North East New Act of the Year competition.
Food/drinks
The Pedalling Squares Café will offer a bar service from 17:30 until the end of the interval at approx 20:10.
The Dough Box will be service hand made pizzas from 17:30. The food service will stop at 18:45.
Parking/getting there
There is a bus stop just 3 minutes' walk away on Swalwell Bank with numerous regional buses passing by. The studio is also approx. £6 taxi from the Metrocentre, £11 from Central Station Newcastle or Gateshead Metro Station.
For those driving, please note there is limited parking outside the venue so we ask you to avoid this area and park at either the top of the bank on the surrounding streets or the bottom of the bank in the Swalwell Bank Car Park behind Maguires Fish & Chips and Jashn Restaurant (free).
If parked at the bottom of the bank, come up the bank along the road (as the other route is not suitable for pedestrians at this time) and turn left, you will see the studio and café lights on your left "“ this walk will take you no longer than 5 minutes and is better than the off road route down the other side.
Please note there is no step free access in the Studio at this time, the studio can only be accessed via a short amount of steps on a thin staircase from the Café. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
There will be a raffle in aid of north east homelessness charity Oasis Community Housing on the night where you can donate £2 for your chance to win 2 tickets to the next comedy night or Borne Studios event of your choosing.
