Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Alcester, August 2026

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Arrow Mill, Alcester on Thursday September 10th.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”

Topping the bill is the fantastic El Baldiniho, who appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, with his mind-bogglingly daft magic and likeable stage persona he mesmerizes the audience.

Opening the night will be co-star of the ‘The ParaPod Movie’ and winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards four years running, the appealing and perceptive Barry Dodds. He has supported Jason Manford, John Bishop, Tape Face and Pete Firman on tour, as well as being Chortle Awards 2016 Nominee, Best Internet for 'The Parapod' Podcast, with Ray Peacock. He captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit. His mix of surprisingly uncanny and irrepressibly cheeky material never fails to fascinate them.

Also appearing is musical comedian, joke strummer, and professional chord butcher Paras.

Completing the line-up will be the unique Alex Farrow, a former teacher whose nerdy material is based on observations surrounding the sciences of culture.

Compere for the night is the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.
