FAQ: Find comedy gigs

How do I find comedy gigs near me?
Filter the listings above by town or browse the map to see upcoming shows. New events go up every day - create a free account to be notified when shows are added in your area.
How much do comedians get paid?
Open mic and new-act spots are usually unpaid or offer travel expenses. Paid spots vary with the club and the act, and headliners and corporate work command higher fees. The fee is set by the promoter and agreed direct with the comedian.
Where can I find open mic nights?
Filter the listings by "Open Mic" to see every walk-up and new-act night. Most are free entry or pay-on-the-door with 3-5 minute spots for newcomers - the standard way to start performing stand-up.
How do I book tickets to a comedy show?
Click any event for venue details, the lineup, and a link to the ticket page. Open Comedy doesn't sell tickets directly - you buy through the venue or promoter so they keep the full ticket price. A few shows are free or pay-on-the-door, noted on the event page.
How do comedians get gigs?
Create a free Open Comedy profile, upload a couple of video clips so promoters can see your style, then click "Apply" on any open spot. Promoters reply direct - no agents, no commission. Most active promoters respond within a few days.
How do I list my comedy night?
List a gig in under a minute - add the venue, date, the spots you have open, and your contact details. Comedians apply through the platform and you pick the lineup. Listing is free and we don't take a cut of ticket sales.
