Roger acknowledges that at first glance he appears to be a privileged, middle-aged White man, but the truth is that's only after washing with Dove. That does prepare him to work as a clean comic, however. On days with inclement weather, when liberal leave is offered, Roger doesn't qualify: he's no Liberal. Both Roger and his material work best with a smart, seasoned crowd, people who grew up with typewriters and rotary dial phones. But he finds laughs in all types of venue.
