Phil Sweet grew up in northeastern PA and lived in Maryland and Virginia before moving to New Jersey in 1992. In 2009, he retired after 30 years with Nabisco and started doing standup after a Blinding Flash of the Obvious revealed that his whole career was actually 30 years of comedy material. Phils shrewd commentary on the modern world gone wacky gives audiences lots to think about and even more to laugh about. He has performed from Virginia to Massachusetts at comedy festivals, benefit shows and comedy clubs including Gotham, Broadway, Eastville and Laugh Lounge in NYC, Helium in Philly and Catch a Rising Star in NJ. He also performs as a member of The Late Shift, a stand-up comedy ensemble of 4 life experienced people whose eclectic styles have built a strong local following around North Jersey and PA. As the Principle of Thalia Enterprises Comedy Productions, Phil has produced benefit shows which have generated more than $70,000 for numerous philanthropic and charitable organizations.
