How do I get booked by a comedy promoter?
Apply to the open spots on their gigs. A booker sees your profile, your clips and your message in one place, so a complete profile with one or two good videos does most of the work. Find open spots on upcoming gigs.
Can I message a booker directly?
Yes. Open any booker's profile to see their upcoming shows and get in touch. Keep it short: who you are, how long you have been gigging, a link to a clip, and which of their nights you want to play.
What do comedy bookers look for?
Reliability first: acts who confirm, turn up on time and stick to their slot length. After that, a clip that shows your material works on a real audience, and a sense that you fit the room. Open mic and new act nights are the usual way in before paid spots.
I run a comedy night. How do I appear here?
Create a free booker account, add your location and list a gig. Your profile then shows on the directory and comedians can apply to your open spots. Listing is free.
