Martin Funk

Martin Funk is a Chicago-based comedian and former high school teacher.  In the ‘90s, he worked full-time as a comedian for 7 years before spending more than 20 years teaching mathematics.  Now he's back with clean fresh jokes, an old calculator, and all the perspective a retired teacher can offer.  Martin’s comedy playfully blends stories and wordplay with an intelligent optimistic and the unique perspective of someone who’s spent a career joyfully helping teenagers learn algebra. Whether he’s performing stand-up, tutoring students, or making unnecessary trips to Costco, Martin proves it’s never too late to return to your new old career.
